Supervisor Parvin Hosting Free Otter Pop Events in Simi Valley and Moorpark
(CLAIR | Simi Valley and Moorpark, CA) — Ventura County Supervisor Janice Parvin is hosting two casual community gatherings this summer, offering free Otter Pops and a chance for residents of all ages to meet their county representative before the school year begins.
The first "End of Summer Pop Stop" takes place Monday, July 29, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in front of the Simi Valley Public Library at 2969 Tapo Canyon Road. The second event is scheduled for Monday, August 18, same time, at Magnolia Park near Fire Station 42 in Moorpark at 296 Charles Street.
No registration is required. Families can stop by at any point during the hour-long window.
"These events are an enjoyable way to celebrate the final stretch of summer, connect with neighbors, and enjoy a small treat together," Parvin said in an announcement on her official website. "I hope families stop by and make a few memories before the busy school year begins."
The gatherings are open to all ages and designed as informal drop-in events. Residents can pick up a frozen treat, meet the supervisor, and talk with neighbors in a low-key setting.
Parvin represents Ventura County's 4th District, which includes Simi Valley, Moorpark, and surrounding areas. She took office in January 2023 after serving on the Moorpark City Council.
